I know tha
For sale is my Rixon Lo-Pro. I'm sad to see this go, as I have the matching track frame but I've just bought a frame that means it needs to go. I bought it as I had the matching track, but only rode it three times (seriously). It's in an immaculate condition.
£525 ono
Frame: Rixon Lo-Pro Reynolds 753 with Cinelli Lugs.
55cc tt, 56cm st, 700c back, 650c front
Shimano 600 headset
Please see below what I found out about the frame from the guy I bought it from:
The frame was built for me by Neil Shankland in the early 90's, my name is Paul Green, and me and my father run a bike shop in handforth Cheshire. His name is Rick, hence the name RIXON on the frames we sell (rick's son). At the time, it felt the frame cost me a fortune as 753 had to be silver soldered at a specific lower than normal brazing temperature. I chose to have it made with a full Cinelli cast lug set as it was going to be used by me. I used it primarily for individual and team pursuiting at the national champs for a few years at Leicester track and then at Manchester in the late 90's. The UCI then outlawed bikes with different wheel sizes, and so except for the odd TT, the bike has been unused for 15 years.
Neil Shankland runs a business repairing and renovating steel frames called Atlantic Boulevard in Bury Lancs. at that time Neil made approx 20 frames a year for us. Allas no more.
Front Wheel: H+son on BLB track hub, 650c
Back Wheel: Unknown 40mm rim on Quando Hub with Euroasia sprocket
Cranks: Andel track cranks with TA Competition ring
Pedals: MKS Sylvan, single straps with MKS NJS clips
Seat and Seatpost: Shimano 600 seatpost with Concor
Handlebars and stem: Unknown risers with 3TTT Pro Chrome stem
I think that's it but if you have any questions or want more photos please ask.
Collection from Queens Park.
