Frame Identification?

Posted on
  • Bought this frame second hand about 2 years ago now. Purchased it off eBay and the guy seemed to think it was an old Claud Butler with Reynolds 531.

Come to a point now where i'd really like to know what model it is so i can consider adding some decals to it however there is no frame number to be seen anywhere, this might have been because the frame was powder coated and has filled in the digits below the bottom bracket, but i cant see any evidence of anything being there before?

Wondered if anyone might be able to recognise the frame from the lug work? Heres a picture

  • It is to hard to identify a frame just by lugs because many frame builders used the same kind of lugs. This are BCM (=Bocama) lugs.

This should really be posted in here instead of making a new thread. Good luck with finding out.
