• Hello LFGSS,

I've got too much stuff and not enough money. Here we go:

    1. 1990s Shimano Deore LX rear mech. Bushings and jockey wheels show a little wear but it'll give a few years service yet. £12

    2. Shimano Deore XT cantilever brake set - with original pads. Works pretty good but a couple of the plastic spring covers are missing. £20

    3. Shimano Dura Ace bar-end shifters. Brand new in box and complete. Retail price £80, yours for £60. SOLD

    4. Shimano Deore XT V-Brake set. Works very well indeed, used on my tandem, stopped on a dime (Disclaimer: not exactly sure how big a dime is). They squeal a little under braking as the parallelogram mechanism isn't (and never was) perfectly tight. £25

    5. Cinelli 1R Stem 135mm. Very shiny. £20

    6. Syncros Stem with badass '90s sticker. 130mm.

    7. Shimano external BB crankset, Trek Slash OEM. Includes outer chainring and full set of bolts, no middle or inner ring or BB. Mint condish. £20

    8. Lyotard Marcel Berthet pedals with GB clips and leather toe straps. A little surface rust but they run smooth. Perfect for that '50s-'60s build. £30

    9. Campagnolo downtube friction shifters. Definitely missing some bits but it shouldn't be too difficult to get them working. £8

    10. Campagnolo front mech. Alloy clamp/mechanism, steel cage. £10

    11. SR Apex 144 BCD cranks and TA Specialites 3/32" 42t chainring. Cranks have had inner ring tabs filed off. I couldn't afford Campag cranks... No chainring bolts. £50

    12. Fancy-lugged 24" road frame and fork with Stronglight needle-bearing headset. I'm fairly certain it's British and 531 but I can't be sure. The lugs and fork crown are super fancy, as are the ridged top-eyes. The frame is very much in the 1950s road/path style but it has long Campagnolo dropouts with a gear hanger and a very strangely set up set of DT stops and cable guides/stops. My guess is it's a '50s road/path frame modified in the '60s for gears with bar-end shifters. 1" steerer, British BB, 126 rear spacing. Problems: upper head lug has been butchered to shit, presumably to allow use of headsets with taller stack heights, and the seat binder lug is a bit mangled. Problems could probably by fixed by your local frame builder for a few notes, but as the frame's a bit dodge right now I'll say £50 for F&F with a slightly worn headset.

    13. Brooks B66 Saddle in black. Broken in, but plenty of life left. With double-rail Brooks clamp. £35

    14. Surly Singleator. Silver. Used for less than 1000 summer miles (not very far for a Surly product), threads, bushings and jockey wheel are perfect. Retail £40, yours for £25.

    15. Mafac Racer front brake, one unoriginal bolt. Includes KoolStop all weather pads, less than 50 dry miles. Includes straddle, could do with a new one. £12

    16. Mafac porteur-style alloy brake levers. I guess these are pretty rare, I'm all up in vintagey stuff and I haven't seen another pair. All present and correct. £25. £30 for levers and brake.

    17. Campagnolo Veloce double chainrings. Black 53/39 135 BCD. Have done exactly 100 miles. £15

    18. Shimano double chainrings. Good cond. Alloy 52/39. £12

    19. Sturmey Archer 5 speed bar-end shifter. £10

    20. Sturmey Archer X-FD front hub brake. 36 hole. Good condition, very powerful brake. £35

    21. Pair of Shimano Deore 9-speed rapidfire pods. Good working order. £25

    22. Pair of Shimano Deore LX mechs. A little baggy in the jockey wheels and pivots but still usable. Perfect for the vintage MTB or tourer. £25

    23. Easton EA70 MonkeyBar black risers. Cut down to the max. Epic salmonning potential. £20

    24. Pair of Campagnolo road mechs. I'm not sure of the group but i'm guessing 1970s. Working well, original jockey wheels. £40

    25. Campagnolo triple front mech. Pivots all fine, slight surface rust on cage. £10

    26. TA Specialites 39t 130 BCD chainring, no ramps or pins. Slight signs of use, plenty of life left. £25.

    27. Bob Jackson built touring forks. For 26" 559 wheels with clearance for 1.5ish and mudguards, bosses for mudguards, front rack/lowrider and canti or V brakes. 1" threadless steerer (9 1/2"). Reynolds tubing. £35

    28. Orbit 531 touring forks. For 700c wheels, clearance for 32c with guards. Bosses for mudguards, front rack/lowrider and canti brakes (bosses too close together for V Brake use). Bit of surface rust. 1" threaded steerer, 7 3/4" with 2" of threading. £25

    29. Pair of Maxxis Hookworm tyres, 26 x 2.5. Good nick, a few slight skid patches on one (were on a coaster brake cruiser) but plenty of life left. £25

Thanks for looking chaps, PM with any questions or requests for non-shit pictures. :)

  • Interested in the 531 forks if the steerer is at least 21cm and the price is right

  • dibs the DA bar end shifters
are you happy to post to london ?

just a quick question is there a specific diametre bar that these will fit in
am looking to go for the TT look .. along the lines of this

is there a specific bar that these will fit or are they for a variety of diametres ?

  • Postage to That London is no problem, there's only one standard diameter for bar-end shifters, I don't see why they wouldn't fit your aero-bars but obviously the bars could be some oddball diameter, I've used Shimano barcons for years in various drops and aero bars, they've never not fit.

  • ok then lets get this done
can you PM me your bank details and i will pay cash via my internet / online banking

  • Interested in no.28, will need to double check the size of my frame when I get back tonight though.

  • No.6 - 1" or 1,1/8th, do you have a posted price for that?

  • No. 6 is 1" and the clamp is 26mm for road bars, the forks (No.28) were from a 24" frame so they'd fit anything roughly that size.

  • Syncros stem posted for £15?

  • DA Shifters now sold. Should have mentioned, all prices include postage to London. Everything's in Bath so if you're local I'm willing to drop prices for collection. Can also do sweet deals if you purchase multiple things. I am a reasonable man, Mr Bond.
