So, forgive just how n00b parts/most of this post will sound, and those who live beneath bridges and smell the blood of christian men, please resist your better instincts.
I'm considering getting some brifters for my road bike. Having tried some out lately they seem a good system.
I want to stick with Campag Athena as the rest of my gruppo thus.
How do I know which ones I need? I see some are 11speed, some are 8 speed etc. So here's the n00b bit - how do I know which speed levers I need? I'm sure there's a simple equation but I'm not sure what it is. I've 2 rings on the front and 7 speed free-wheel at the back. Normally I'd consider that a 14 speed bike but don't seem to have 14 speed shifters. What am I missing?
