@ Jimmy, a third of the peloton abandoning means two thirds carried on. If two thirds had abandoned then there might be something to change.
This was a case of a hard stage, after a hard stage, a day too late in a race that is early in the season. Most of the riders probably thought, sod this for a game of soldiers, there's the TT tomorrow and I can fuck that off and get home early..
