I've recently got one of these:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bryton-rider-50-gps-cycle-computer/it seems pretty good at 1/2 the price of the equivalent Garmin. Not super easy to use, but really not hard at all.

Thanks dude - will investigate. Is it easy to initally set up and to then use when actually riding?

Edge 500, HR strap, mount and usb cable. £130 posted
Am after some sort of GPS gadget that will tell me where I've been and where I'm going.
Doesn't neccessarily need to have all the maps on there, one of those ones where you can pre-load a route and you just follow a line on the screen would suffice (can you tell I don't really know what I'm talking about?). HRM and cadence monitors would be nice too, but not essential.
Am open to ideas / offers, get in touch!
