• Stronglight 93 piste bottom brack 68mm English 113mm

    model 93/Super Competition Piste

this is the very rare pista model, axle stamped 113 (measures 113.7mm)
    Hollow axle ISO taper

    tapers, races, bearings, threads= excellent
1 very tiny mark on inside of 1 cup but is not in the bearing contact area so does not matter

photos shot with natural evening light indoors so chrome cups dont show well but really shine in better light

also compatible with Campagnolo cranks, symmetrical axle, (with C Record pista =43mm chainline)

    £35 plus postage

  • bump

  • I now have the matching crank bolts, £35 plus postage.
    ebay price is alot more

  • Is this for the 49D crank set?

  • Apologies, undibs. It's not the right length for me.

  • Hi

I'm restoring a vintage early 70'ies bike with Stronglight 93 bottom bracket and crank set. I might need new parts.

But first I need to get tools to deassemble the existing BB and crank. Know I will have to buy (or borrow) the special Stronglight crank extractor -- but will I need non-standard tools to remove the locking collar?

  • hi, I either used a tool like this

or a large adjustable wrench with a long thick bolt and large washer clamped on either side to keep the wrench from slipping, depending on how tight it was.

I think standard tools should do, I dont see my bb tool listed on park tools website anymore

  • Thanks, Colm, though I don't think I quite understand how "a large adjustable wrench with a long thick bolt" remove the locking collar on each side of the bottom bracket?

I was thinkink of a cone spanner / wrench on the right side and maybe a tool like Lifu 0300 on the other?

  • still available and at a very cheap price compared to ebay. can be used as a Campagnolo Record substitute, not just for Stronglight pista
