What do people think of using Zee for a 1x10 XC setup? They have that new clutch tech that's supposed to help keep a chain on, and they're not too heavy.

I wanted one but couldn't afford it, I think it'll be on my list of updates.

Has anyone had any riding experience of the Shimano shadow plus rear derailleur?
Silent, no chain slap, apparently ever so slightly stiffer change, slightly heavier and have to remember to flick switch to take out rear wheel (and then switch back)

Well properly doesn't mean racing, just riding along lanes and trails without falling off too often. Weekdays are possible with some notice to take some time off work and Saturdays are easier than Sundays for me.

OK , sounds good. I'm in Woking so getting to Guildford isn't much of an issue.

Price drop bump for my MTB homies. Reeeposting link here just in case.

Jeez, get some pics up of your Myth, I'm picking up a Myth frame tonight. Blender's looking good man

Boomshanka! £30 for the Myth frame, it's not pretty, but will build into something fun and I've got a lot of parts. Though if anyone has some forks going cheap then just let me know. And Jeez, could you take a look at your seatpost and see what size it is please?

Anyone got a shortish stem for sale? 50-70mm?
-
• #4340
And maybe bars, too? Although I've spotted some Renthals on Wiggle...

I've got a Marzocchi MXC making the place look untidy. 100mm, air, 195mm × 1⅛" steerer, £50 posted

Or I've got some RST launch, mega budget dirt jump forks, 100mm, heavy, £cover postage and a beer or three.

Thanks jeez, just picked up a new 27.2 seat post from halfrds(!) for a fiver end of line sale or something. It's about 4' long but looks eminently cutdownable. Now I need a 31.8 mm seatclamp...

456 is built! Thanks barenicetitties for the brakes, they're sweet. Only had a little jaunt around the streets and across a park but it feels like a lot of fun, it's pretty light too. I'll get a picture later.

^ Glad you like them snotter. Didn't know if you'd have any use for those custom reservoir caps, but they're not much use to me anymore :-)
-
• #4346
They were a nice surprise, although I have no idea what they are on about. I think I'll leave the hope ones on for now, never owned any hope stuff before so people need to be sure.

Cat wasn't with me so I stole a random child to pose with the bike instead.
-
• #4348
Nice build.
Now release that child back into the wild before it's parents reject it ;-)
