So I ordered some Look Keo blades, should be arriving today but I'm having second thoughts about getting the 12Nm version. Does anyone know how that compares tension wise to the keo classic's, is it towards the loose or the tight end? I'm tempted to just send it back and order the red 16Nm one. Would match my bike better too.
12Nm is the upper limit of Keo Classics, so you'll be fine if you switch from Classics wound up to maximum release tension to 12Nm Blades. 16Nm is top whack on Keo Sprints. I chose 16Nm for colour matching too, but I've got Sprints on my track bike so I knew I'd be fine with the higher release tension. The entry/exit is a bit more snappy on Blades even though the nominal release torque is the same, so they are going to feel a bit different.
I'll stick my hand up as a member of the 'bought them cos they match the bike' club. Slowly spreading Blades across all the bikes, much prefer the feel of them to my sprints. The difference is probably all in my head, mind.
