What time is it? Watches and horology

Whilst I'm sure I've seen it mentioned before I can't seem to find the post now; as this is my first mechanical watch I'm not sure about the answer - is it ok to wear them whilst cycling or will the road buzz adversely affect the movement?

Should be ok in my opinion, though I'd be interested to hear others'.

I wear my Omega automatic on my bike for at least twenty miles a day. The big no-no is sudden impacts like dropping from a height on a hard surface (bathroom) as this can bend the hairspring (been there) or damage the balance wheel assembly.
