Living in Walton on Thames I have a lovely pub near to me, called 'The Weir'. It faces two threats despite it's idyllic location:
1) The creation of a sports facility with 18 meter floodlights on green field land. The local council are apparently selling an existing sports facility in the middle of Walton in order to fund this.
2) The weir which... the Weir overlooks is going to install generators that will spoil the riverside view, and generate f**k all electricity.

Summer is coming and a cycle down the Thames is lovely, especially if you can enjoy a pint and a nice vista...
