How do they manage to flog off all these BLB components....

For £1200 I'd expect more than one skid patch.

And a better bike, with good components.

Pretty easy to change a rear sprocket if you plan on skidding. I understand a lot of people don't rate BLB components, but not had a problem with anything on the setup.

It's not that we don't rate them* it's that they massively overcharge for everything so you're never gonna get £1200 or anywhere near that.

I popped in there the other week and some minted media type hipster was looking to buy a nice 'fixie' for his girlfriend but didn't want to spend more than £2K.

I could see the spark in the BLB salesperson's eye.

Money > Sense.

Consider yourself happy if you get 50% back of the BLB RRP.

Or you can try to eBay and hope someone with no bike knowledge will buy it at the premium price you are asking

Is it just me or do the seat stays and down tube not create a perfect parallelogram? That would, like, slowly destroy me.

Still, price it at £750-£800 and see what shakes out, you may have something here...

That's not worth £1200 but it's a fantastic looking bike. Drop the price, swallow your pride, and take vince's words to heart - half the price you paid is about right.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but BLB has a low resell value here. No Rep, No proven track record = low price.

ie you might get 150 -200 for frame and fork. 100 - for wheels and the rest would probably at best come up to 50. Sorry to tell you but seen it before. Either part it out and lose some or sell as a whole on ebay. If you are lucky maybe ebay might get you some buyers for the BLB components separate but not at the retail prices you paid.

I know ibs109 is interested in a lo pro frame set for 150 - 200 but you have to message him and see. Might not want a BLB one though.

Ouch the frame set you have they sell for £645 on BLB. Good luck indeed.

I know BLB have a bad reputation on here, but whilst overpriced (and dubious morals as a bike shop) how many people have had parts break / fail on them?

mike, as most people find you will probably get more money splitting the bike up into parts especially as they look to be in pretty nice condition

I fucking absolutely despise this shop.

not sure.. but might help.. some marketing technique?.. blb is dropping a clothing line at h&m worldwide soon.. might keep an eye on that release and drop it on the bay..

after you sold it, make sure that you think about what you are buying.. like said by others: this is fashion stuff, it has little value to road, track or classic market.. for 1200 you can get a swe(eeeeeeeeeeeee)et bike with plenty of value after you're done with it
