Thread? Does shell width matter for these BBs?
-
• #3
I think they call it British thread? Whatever the most modern threaded BBs are. Had it fitted to my cotic soul. Will fit a 68mm or 73mm Shell.

no idea they even made an external BB, I know what I'll be getting next time it fails then!

^^cheers for the info!

Is it GXP compatible (does it work with Sram Omniums)?
-
• #7
^ to be perfectly honest I don't know, I'm not familiar with those cranks, sorry.
I used it with a set of HollowTech II Shimano XT cranks. Should fit any HollowTech II type cranks.

I dont think it works with SRAM

wont work with sram if you ran it on shimano, there a bugger for it, Sram GXP bottom brackets, a way of making you buy there stuff.

There's an adapter made by Phil for GXP cranks.
Truvativ and SRAM cranks use a unique bearing on the non-drive side. We have manufactured an adaptor that enables one to use a standard OBB cup with Truvativ and SRAM cranks. At this time Campagnolo cranks are not currently compatible. Campagnolo uses a center bearing on their crankset that interferes with our bottom bracket.

Bump for a nice bit of kit.
If anyone is interested in why GPX cranks need an adapter, Real World Products have a nice explanation on their site.

Open to reasonable offers on this, otherwise I might just keep it.

Why must I be joking?
Ok pics must be on my old photobucket - cant see them at work.
This is in excellent condition, bearings are smooth with no play. Only used on one bike from new and probably did maybe less than 200 miles.
