I'm confussed. E de Wilde is clearly on a Merckx. Bartko is on a Bartko (which is probably a Merckx) and Keisse is on a Merckx.. If one is refering back to Marty.. He rode Merckx after 2000.
At the Olympics he rode carbon GTs at both Atlanta and Sydney ... they were, I think, from Trimble--- Brent designed the original Kestrals-- as the frame had all the hallmarks- Back in the mid-1990s there were just a handfull of builders doing monocoques (and with a basket full of US gov dollar backing doing the mold was not a cost issue). The wheels were from Mavic. The Project ’96 GT superbike was outlawed by the UCI in 2000 so...
