Train to Herne Bay and ride traffic-free to Ramsgate on the sea wall, then continue semi-traffic-free to Deal.

Lots of the Borough groups do day trips, you can check out their back-rides on their websites. I've done a few. Dengie Marsh was a good one.

Mountain bike tracks near Bedgbury. Leave early in the morning so less traffic
i have booked a day off work this week and am thinking of taking my bike on a train out of london and riding around a town or two. anyone done anything similar or can recommend any towns that may be worth taking a bike to? (want to see something different not just ride hence why taking train)
