Amey, we lock the bikes outside the pub.
Unlike the old haunt the coach and horses, though there is plenty of outdoor space, we do not look out directly onto it, so leaving a bike unlocked out front isn't recommended.

Best bet is to ask nicely and see if someone has a long enough lock, so you can use it to lock your bike to a fellow forumengers.
