I've just checked mine - it says Alu Team on it, and came direct from Merckx with the Max forks. Mine is a sort of blue/green colour that de Wilde used to ride.
The only Alu Team frames I've seen were road frames but .... I'd be hard pressed to try to gather what their differences could be (if any)..
I think that the Elite Piste was the next generation - the model that Keisse rode some years ago.
Elite Piste was what Marty Nothstein rode from around 2002 or so.. Not sure when the model first was made but I think they were in the Merckx program until 2006 when they introduced the Alu Pista--- a cheaper grade compact frame made of Deda Fire. I think they were probably orderable until the end (2009) but I'm not sure ..
