Well I went over to my Dad's friend's garage today and he felt the frame next to his 531 Bob Jackson and this was far lighter and more hollow and thin sounding.

The only other Dave Russell I've seen with seat stay like this and it also was a TT bike so putting 2 and 2 together I figured they must have been the same model, did request serial but didn't get back to me.
Around a month ago this bike was hit by a car when locked up, I claimed through the insurance to build another.
While in the garage today we were talking about using JB weld on car exhausts and then went on to discuss how it might be possible to temporarily repair my frame with it.
I went home and grabbed the frame, the rear stays were bent and cracked, to repair it properly which I will do one day I'd have to replace the rear triangle so we drilled the crack out a little, made it as straight as we could and filled the hole with JB quick, it feels stiff and will give me something to ride while I complete my new build.
