  • ^ yea. appreciate all the responses.

histogram - and now duratec, thank you - only 64 (60 tt) i've found. duratec make them biiiig.

  • ^ & ^^ ah I see, that explains why the question was posted in this thread.
    fair enough.

  • If you're looking more answers ask in 'any question answered' Tester patrol that thread and he knows everything.

  • ^ yeah, given tester rep for his help previously

Posted here as the follow up will be about whether its worth risking first time (what would effectively be custom) geometry with Mielec. If I do I won't be sending CAD diagrams...

    Appreciate the comments all.

  • It's not as tall as Scott's...

  • I know, damn shame, such a nice view riding his.

  • Nice job otter!

  • thats your snots?
    looks handsome.

  • Yup, looks alright don't it. Cheap too.

  • Size 11 and 30mm rake forks here, i really wouldn't worry about it
Yeah B0N0R, Ill let this latest concern go, Ive got to that point, where I have boggled my brain thinking about bike parts and the "what if's" that go with all of my choices, and no doubt I`ll change my mind a hundred more times before the things finished, damn and i thought this was going to be a soothing stress free project, ha

  • Anyone got anymore pics with the fake 3T forks on their mielec?

  • yeah but bonor didnt your crack offset the down tube a bit further away from the wheel?

  • Yeah true, but even before it still wasn't to bad

  • yeah but bonor didnt your crack offset the down tube a bit further away from the wheel?

Oh no not again, your not getting me this time Ha

  • Anyone got anymore pics with the fake 3T forks on their mielec?

Considering getting some of these for the seta, worried about safety...

  • @ BONOR - ..those 165 cranks?

  • Anyone got anymore pics with the fake 3T forks on their mielec?

    Hambar fake 3T's

    My real 3T's:

    Fake vs Real
In this case, the real ones have the white lines down - although there are real versions without the lines.
You will notice that the fake ones have a thicker steerer tube.

You will notice that the angle on the fork legs is different:

Real ones have a serial number on the steerer tube and also under the bridge:

Although the same font is used for 3T, the 3T on the fake ones is noticeably bigger.

Real ones steerer cut to 18cm:

Fakes ones full 230mm steerer so effectively the same weight:

And now the answer everyone would like to know....

*Is there any difference in riding quality between real ones and fake ones?
    *

    NO

  • resourceful!

  • I am still meant to create a thread and include all the details and riding differences, durability, etc...
    Soon!

  • Awesome, thicker steerer tube makes me a little more confident.

  • shit weather and mudguard but you get the idea
wanted black or silver cranks, but got a good deal on the red ones, so they're staying
still waiting for new set of macks, once they arrive it will be finished
