Senior officer called me this morning. He wanted to deal with it and put an end to it by phone. I said I would pursue the road-block/pushing me over thing in writing. He did apologise for his officers' rudeness talking across me when I was answering their questions though.

Ha at ending it over the phone. If the chap pushed you off your bike for no reason then he must be accountable. As any person would be in such an act. That would be assault.

yep interested too. Can't stand people abusing their power.

Basically you were doing no harm, and they decided to get in your way physically by pushing you off your bike and question you. I say go after them , they want you to go away, they should at the least apologize.
