  • Yarklad, your view is very naive..Spurs are a very well run club financially and a lot of that is down to buying players relatively cheaply and selling them on when they reach fruition. ENIC do not pump any money into Spurs, but have built a competitive team by milking a large affluent fan base and selling players. If there are any offers for Bale in the region of 50 + million, Levy will be packing Bale's bags and driving him to the airport, after of course ensuring there will be no higher offers..The only way Bale will stay is if he really wants to stay, champions league or not. If we do get 70 mill and champions league that money will be spent on players, three really good players. The signs are that ENIC are getting ready to sell the club once stadium plans are in place, highlighted by their desire to get the Olympic park stadium which was very attractive to American investment. They would be very nervous about keeping such a valuable asset who could be one injury away from being worthless. Spurs fans need to accept that Bale has become too big for the club and WILL leave. Spurs will get very good money for him as Fergie, City and PSG will all counter bid Real. Apologies for the essay! Now, back to Liverpool.

The way AVB spoke of Willian's move to russia I could see levy coughing up the £30M to get him out of there. That is if he accepts £60m+ to sell Bale.

It's funnypeople think it's odds on he will quit spurs no matter what in the summer.
    Things to note:
He has just started a family with his GF,
at 23 is still really 5/6 years from his real professional peak,
someone who is genuinely focused on his football and shy of the limelight,
potential opportunity to play CL football again with spurs.

Given all that it's likely he will go? Bloody mental if bookies agree
