One front and two rear hubs, all in excellent condition, bought from a retired wheelbuilder.

I've been poring over catalogue scans in an effort to ID these (Velobase is particularly flaky on hubs), but if you know something I don't, then please let me know.

1) front hub, 32h, mirror finish, NOS was £20 now £15
The design of the front hub remained largely unchanged through the C-Record period until 1999, so I can't date these any more accurately than that.

It isn't Record, Croce D'Aune, Chorus (no oil port) or Athena (no engraved band, which leaves Veloce, Mirage, Avanti or Stratos: the mirror finish leads me to believe that it is from the top of that list.

Lightly (polishable) scratched/scuffed to one side of the body, otherwise minty fresh.

2) 8v Exa-Drive rear hub, 32h, mirror finish, used was £30 now £25
Exa-Drive was introduced in 1994 and the last 8v group appeared in 1999. However, in '94 and '95 there was a chromed washer on the NDS, so this must be '96-'99.

As above it's not from any of the race groups, so that leaves Veloce, Mirage or Avanti; again the mirror finish suggest Veloce.

The spoke holes show that it's been built-up, but the spotless body makes me think that it's never seen the road.

NB Exa-Drive hubs only accept Exa-Drive cassettes.

**Being 8v but not Exa-Drive, narrows the field to between 1991 and 1993; however in '91 the hubs lacked the chrome washer on the NDS, so this is either from '92 or '93.

Again it lacks an oil port or engraved band, so it must be Veloce as this was the lowest group available at the time.

Although the matt finish isn't the smartest, it is absolutely unblemished and box-fresh.

NB This will accept Exa-Drive as well as the earlier 8v cassettes.
