Hey there Webof,
My girlfriend is selling a Phillips bike with 3 gears. It was made in 1957. I have had a go on it a while ago, its not exactly light. More of a cruiser, a mean bruiser of a bike which demolishes potholes and speed bumps.
On occasions, I am told that the chain seems to disengage in a way that allowed the pedals to continued to be pedalled without driving the chain. It sounds really bad, but this is the best way I can describe the problem from what I am told.
It has no structural dents, the only damage is a slightly amount of rust in places, the handlebars have seemed survived without any blemishes however.
She hasn't told me much about it such as size, but as a rough guide, she is 5 ft 2 on a cold day and the bike fits her well. But I will get on her to measure it soon.
Here are a few pics. She hasn't taken the most useful pictures, if there are any more you would like, I will get her on the case.
The bike is in South East London.
Thanks buddy.
Hi,
The title says it all. My friend is looking for a cheap Dutch style ladies bike for cruising around town.
Some sort of strumey archer 3-5 gear style thing. Looking for an older but well looked after / serviced bike. Preferably a light weight older frame rather than a modern heavy cheap copy.
Not looking to spend around £100.
Many thanks!
