Custom Rob English MTB

Hey BRP, was thinking about Alfine + Belt drive but I'd heard the hub doesn't like the high tension the belt requires (the Trek District Alfine BD model a few years back was meant to be problematic). I know you specked the front hub sprocket as backup but wondered if you/Rob had perhaps heard otherwise? Love the bike btw

Rob has been running a belt driven Alfine for the last couple of years on his own winter bike,,over a LOT of miles without a single problem.
Also,the newer centretrack version is meant to be a lot better in many ways than the original version.
