a french ladies mixte frame, very light, red/orange metallic paint work and white pinstripe detailing, has all parts except BB, crank and pedals. also needs wheels. good condition. ideal vintage bike to build for your woman. £50
This came from the south west of France and has the owners name "Merci Jeanot" written on the top tube with a marker pen, although this comes off pretty easily so I have left it as is, for whoever takes it on next to decide what they do with it. In a fetching shade of pearl sky blue, with original decals although theyre a little flakey. Campagnolo hub on the front, large flange Maillard on the back, polished 700c alloy rims. Huret gears, Dual pivot Mafac brakes with an unusual rack type thing on the front, i suppose to rest your garlic upon, and pretty tight clearances all round. A really nice bike, would make an easy single speed conversion, i think it would suit it quite well, I can do this if needed. very good looking light weight, vintage racer.
Only down side is that it has been soaking up the sun and therefore aged in places, it also has minor surface rust in places too although it cleans up easily as its very light.
