As nice as that would look properly red, once it gets like that I fear new paint would be the only option. I've fallen into a cycle of buying old red cars and then fighting to make the paint look half decent. My Corrado was terrible. The day before I sold it, my dad and I machined polished it. He tried so hard the panels were red hot and it ended up with white pinstripes on the swage lines! haha! From a distance it looked great but after about half an hour it started to fade again!
I didn't learn my lesson as I went from that to a faded red 106 Rallye and then a faded red Integra Type R.
