I knew someone who bought a fancy off the shelf BLB 'fixie' with an aerospoke an that with a single front brake, and didn't like the fixed riding so flipped it, leaving him ss with no rear brake. It is a thing.
He barely ever seemed to ride above 10mph on the rare occasions he would venture off the pavement anyway.
