If all your lights were flashing then it's a fair comment.

A flashy light draws attention but for a driver to accurately place you you need a constant. One of each is the minimum I use.

Agree, good riding is only to be expected. Nothing wrong with acknowledging considerate fellow riders and motorists though; a smile and a friendly wave or gesture is priceless and costs you nothing.

I'm not sure that's fair. SS with one brake is one method of stopping. Fixie with no brake is one method of stopping. Each with their relative advantage, braking on fixie is probably less prone to failure, so safer, braking on SS would be better braking, since it is the front wheel.

Don't get me wrong, I agree they are nobs for riding around SS/no rear brake. If they wanna get on a bandwagon, they should get on the bandwagon, fix their ride.
