I missed this thread. I thought I was the only weirdo who sang whilst cycling. I'm no good at remembering lyrics so usually just make up something really weird. The past Christmas I was really looking forward to singing Christmas Carols (since I at least know some of the lyrics there), but the harser weather meant there was more wind going into my lungs than I could get out so it didn't really pan out. Summer is definitely better for singing.

It's usually 'Keep on Loving You' by Journey or Meat Loaf's 'I Would Do Anything for Love'. If you think I'm happy about that you're mistaken.

Annie's Song by John Denver. No idea why, but ever since I started cycling it's the song that always gets deep into the head and stays forever.
I've done Double and Quintuple Ironman with that song on a maddening constant brainloop. Screaming it at the top of my voice in the middle of the night improvising new words to keep from falling asleep or flipping out. It messes with the old sanity.

That's a depressing song.
How about 'Grandma's bed' instead.....
'It was nine feet wide, six feet high, soft as a downey chick'

^^I still think it's quite a pretty song, not as depressing as a fair deal of country music. When I was racing in Mexico, I had earworms of Pancho and Lefty (Emmylou version) and Goodbye (Steve Earle version), just because they both mentioned Mexico. Both much more depressing, though probably less unsettling than singing about sleeping with your gran.
Don't know why it's always country music though.

It's usually what my daughters have been listening to. It used to be embarrassing (Wheels on the Bus, Bob the Builder, etc.). Now, it's terminal (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc.)!
Although, sometimes I'll get a chance to listen to something decent: Love Me (The Cramps), for instance. But, they're rarer occasions these days.
Basically, anything will do, if it keeps my (in)sanity in check!

I often find myself singing We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift and that is sometimes embarrassing but also that song is amazing so fuck everything.
