• Hi everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell my Pinarello Sestriere. This has been my best bike, and as such has only ever seen dry miles. It is just too small for me in the top tube, and I'm swapping for a larger frame.

The frame is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition, with very few marks to the paint work, and no dents or dings. From memory there is a little black mark on the top tube, and some light scratches on one of the fork blades, these were on the frame when I got it, and are not that serious, but I would rather mention them than not - I will take some pictures later when I'm in front of the frame. It has a very mild case of flaking decals, a common problem with Pinarello frames of this era (for some reason or other they stopped clearcoating the decals for a while), however as the photos show the case is mild, particularly compared to some frames of the same era which have no decals left whatsoever. It is constructed from Pinarello's own lightweight tubing, Forma. The frame is a delight to ride, and feels light and responsive whether climbing or descending. The geometry is nice and tight, I'll take some pictures with a pair of wheels later on to show how close the clearances are.

It will come with a Campagnolo Chorus threadless headset, in excellent condition, and a Campagnolo 111mm square taper BB, also in excellent condition. The frame is pictured with black spacers, but I can swap these for silver if preferred. The steerer is uncut, so still has plenty of room to accommodate different stem height preferences.

I would prefer to keep the seatpost, saddle and cages, and as such the price given is for just frame, forks, headset and bb, though I would consider sticking them in with the frame if the price is right.

This can be collected from me in the Camberwell or Bermondsey area, or I will post at cost. Viewings welcomed. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask, and I'll try and help. Also, I'll stick up some better pictures as soon as I get a chance to borrow a camera from a friend.

    Dibs and PM please.

    £220. Now £200

    Cheers!

  • I also have a Shimano 6401 partial groupset (chainset, sti levers, rear mech, brake calipers, wolber profil tx rims with 600 hubs and 8 speed freewheel) that I could sell with the frame, and stem and handlebars too. So everything you'd need to get rolling, bar a front mech of course... You'd just have to live with putting Shimano on an Italian bike ;)

  • Pictures of the clearances, still having to use my rubbish phone camera for the moment...
