So the first thing i wanted to do was completely strip all parts and give it a clean, get to its core, check out the bb shell, headset etc as i wanted this to be bare and built from the frame up.
First thing i tackled, which i thought would be easy peasy - seatpost pin....
Id bought a Sugino seatpost pin off the bay for something stupid like £30 so obviously this was going to have to go on the frame!
I thought that it would be as simple as just unscrewing the campagnolo one that was in there and then when the time came to it, rescrewing in the Sugino one...
nah.
The campag one wouldn't budge!
because the respray was slightly thicker than the original paint, all the holes are a little tighter..... (pun at will!)
so a lot of very gentle tapping with an allen key and a rubber mallet later and:
im guessing this is perhaps how the chip happened on the opposite side, as it must have taken a fair bit of nudge to get the clamp bolt in the hole
Part 1 done for now anyway: note to self, Sugino Clamp Bolt will need a nudge to fit, protect frame before getting hammer out & use right tools!
