  • I go to Stourbridge to get tattooed by a Cov local.

    Details?

  • One Shot Charlies Stourbridge.

Or search for Tom Chippendale (yes that is his real last name) on Facebook.

  • Thanks mate. Looking through his albums now.

I have no idea what a tattoo costs. I'd be looking at something fairly simple and monochrome/shaded I think. Is this going to cost me serious dorrah?

  • Roughly £80 an hour I think, he works pretty fast though.

  • Good to know, thanks for the infos :)

  • In birmingham tomorrow. Where is good for coffee? Then later on where is good for real ale? and even later on where is good for disco and proper house? i.e not tech house

  • Urban coffee on church street, the Wellington on bennets hill, can't help with the house I'm afraid.

  • At one shot there's a few dudes there. His real name isn't chippendale barry, that's just his "tattoo handle/alias" ;)

Steve if your looking local to yourself, infinate ink near hears all common isn't bad at all!

  • I've known Tom for many years Hixon, I think I know more about him than you.

  • alright dick-swingers, why don't you guys just make out already.

  • Already have, whilst Tom was tattooing a vagina on me.

  • You had your vagina tattooed?

  • Sorry barry, i didn't know points were given out for simply knowing people barry.

  • No points were mentioned? Don't sway in trying to correct someone when you're wrong.

  • Piers Lee at Park Street is decent as well.

  • Anyone got a recommendation for a good restaurant in the town centre for an evening meal? Trying to avoid the usual chains

  • cafe soya is usually ok.

  • One star. Unless you go to the one in the Arcadian.

  • I was thinking of bodega on bennetts hill, anyone been?

  • Yeah - thumbs up.

  • I concur.

  • I retract my recommendation based on the one-star food hygiene rating it received. Basically, it's not worth the risk eating out in the 'food capital' (snigger) of the UK... May as well get some artisanal ingredients and stay at home. At least then when you get botulism or whatever, you've only yourself to blame.

Seriously though, why is Birmingham so filthy? The streets and the inside of restaurants must be the down there with the dirtiest in the country...

  • ^ this.
I had no idea that Cafe Soya was rated so low.
Bodega is quality. Really enjoyed my last visit.

  • Bodega got one star too!

  • Dan, what places have 5 stars? is there anywhere reasonable in price?
