I use these, ACS custom earbuds, and in ear monitors held in place with Sugru (the yellow)
They exclude a lot of (i.e. almost all) external sound, and I got them to use when I need ear defenders. I can have the sound turned down really low and still hear the music perfectly, but I still tend to use them at 11
Not advisable for cycling!
