The irony of Liverpool finally winning a game against a top ten side because the opposition fielded a weakened team as they were more worried about winning a trophy is the ultimate disrespect to 1) LFC as a club. 2)Their own fans. 3) The PL but it still is immensely funny. It's something you couldn't have made up 10 years ago.

It was like last season when we beat liverpool to win the FA cup then a few days later we played them in a meaningless league game and played our b team and lost.
Its ok because then a few days after that we went on to win the champions league
