I've received an email from a charity worker about places to stay on the cheap in London, with bikes - any ideas?
"My name is Maggie and I am a governor of The Woolverstone Project in Ipswich (sailing for people with disabilities) and I am a volunteer involved in Bike Active (cycling for people with disabilities). It has been suggested to me that I contact you as you have a good reputation for being very helpful.
The Chief Instructor of the Woolverstone Project is sailing from the Orwell Bridge here to Tower Bridge to raise awareness of the Project, raise awareness of disability, and to raise some funds. Being a cyclist, not a sailor, I thought it would be good to cycle from bridge to bridge, seeing him off in Ipswich and meeting up with him when he arrives at Tower Bridge. On our journey we are staying in village halls. My problem is finding somewhere to stay in London overnight which is reasonably priced, and that is why I am emailing you - to see if you can help. We will be self-sufficient, with sleeping bags etc and just need somewhere to get our heads down for the night. I don't have the exact number of cyclists yet, but it could be up to 20, and the date we need the accommodation is Saturday 11th May.
If you can give me any ideas, suggest anywhere, or anyone else I could contact, I'd be very grateful."
Do Guy's/St.Thomas' or London College of Communication have decent halls they could sleep in? Or where else?
