  • Completely stripped R3 size 56 with green stickers from 2010. It has done about 900 miles and are in great shape. It comes with a BSA bottom bracket Rotor ready and a carbon clamp for 31.6. Furthermore it takes a 1 1/8 fork.

    Weight: 947g

Im looking for 650 GBP shipping included.

  • Derailleur hanger.............................?

  • Included of course

  • Any proof its a cervelo other than the decals?

  • No other proof than I stripped it down and know its a Cervelo for sure. Unfortunately, I dont have papers on it. I'm second owner and the first was a semi-prof guy from Germany who only rode cervelo.

  • It looks like there is a serial number on the BB shell, can you contact Cervelo to get some info?

  • Without provenance I think you're way off the mark at £650...

  • has the frame been in a spill?............... The absent fork and hanger often indicate a salvaged frame........ which make £650 a tad high ;--}

  • No spill or other shit. Perfect frame, but just realized the money isnt there to make the lightweight build I wanted. Im willing to go down to 625 incl. shipping

  • You'll need some sort of proof cos otherwise it's potentially just a cheap cervelo rip off with poor decals

  • Without provenance I think you're way off the mark at £650...

I wouldn't pay 650 for a third hand stripped 2010 frame, regardless of provenance

  • I'll contact cervelo as soon as I got time. The serial is a bit washed out, but this was what I got out of it SNR3K0M0.....

I checked the cervelo.forum and they explained how the serials are arranged.

"sn" = serial number, "R3" = model, "c" = carbon, "11" = can mean either year manufactured or model year. The last letter followed by the numbers are the actual serial number. Not sure if the letter preceding the numbers has a specific meaning or not.

So actually there is your proof, but I will gladly contact cervelo and make them double check!

    Well there is that too.

  • It doesn't appear to be a 2010 frame as it has a large seat post. I'm pretty sure they switched down to a 27.2 on R3s after 2008 to make it more compliant. Also the seat clamp only faces forward on the new generation bbright frames. Can you clarify where the cut in the carbon is on the post clamp, fore or aft on the tube?

  • ^This confused me. I thought maybe it was a regular round seat clamp that had just been put on bolt fowards. If it has the flat section at the front of the tube, it would be 2011 onward and should have BBright too.

  • I have owned both generations of r series with the new ones having the clamp facing forwards with a vertical cut front and back to distribute pressure. The old r series (2009 onwards) had rear facing clamps with a single vertical cut with a 27.2 post. This is an older r3 with a 31.6 post (2008 or before) and as you state the clamp must be on backwards. I would guess its a 2007 clear coat version with red and white decals as it had minimal paint to remove.

  • Your absolutely right. Im sorry for the misunderstanding and I have contacted the previous owner and he has be informed by his cockup. Im open for bids. Thanks!
