I used to like the cone, but found it really discourages open shots. And without a no-shoot-zone the game is about out-dribbling your opponent and riding the ball to two-inches away and 'shooting'.

That's still a good strategy with the mini-goal, but it feels more like normal polo because you have a better chance of scoring mid-to-long-range shots.
