Have you guys ever tried mini goals for 2 v 2? We do it in Brum whilst waiting for hungover hipsters to arrive. c30-60cm goals kind of makes it like scoring through someone's b/b. We also have an area around the goal, maybe 1-2m radius, where you're not allowed to shoot.
This way, both players can play out of goal, and it's still pretty easy to mess up an open-goal tap-in from close range.
