i've been meaning to join this game and tag them for about a year since i moved to London and found them completely by surprise in my local park.

Yeah, that was quick.
Well done.
I didn't think it was particularly obscure but I love those gate posts.Apocryphal story is they're the inspiration for the original Jolly Roger.
http://carolineld.blogspot.co.uk/2008/06/deptford-and-pirate-flag.html?m=1In the 90s I made a set of gates for that church with feathers instead of spikes and gilded cherub wings as handles, now sadly vandalised.
Csb.Cheers - I didn't actually know it, but my project just finished at work so I have a bit of time so a quick Google revealed its location (and then having a pre-tag meant the round trip from home was quick)
A clue for the new one: you may find rodents in peril here, but definitely not a place for the Whigs

...
Then again, I can't remember what it used to be called. Used to be all Upper Street in them days, Essex Road was a dump.
...I live pretty much across the road for last 4 years and New Rose hasn't changed name in those years.
Didn't like it, but I don't like many pubs. -

Watch out for these!

Nice clue. The sculpture seems to be newer than the Street View images or I'm doing something very wrong.

Nope, not on Street View.

Correct - not on street view. Selected mainly as it appeared a sculptor had captured my dramatic fall in metal just hours after it happened

There was a tag of Greater London House, which has the worst goods lift in London. This place has the second worst.

Brains Stew's clue is great. Got it.
-
• #11088
Yeah, I think I know this one. I also have a tag idea....
-
• #11089
Yeah, this is all very interesting, that everyone knows where it is, but someone has got to go and actually tag it, or the game does not move along.
We could of course change the rules, so people can just say they know it, and that they have thought of a new one. Which the next person just claims to know, and thinks of another, and so on....

I know this one. And I have thought of another tag. If someone can find me, and photograph their bike next to me, I will tell them where it is.
I'm mainly here for the interesting London landmarks/geography conversation stuff. But I wish I had thought of tagging this one seeing as I had the morning off. But I am in work now, so the opportunity has gone.

• #11091
Oh bother, I could have just done this.
-
• #11092
Do I Brain Stew's visual clues explain that protusion on the PC's head ?
Anyway I'm no closer to pinpointing the tag.
Perhaps I shouldn't occupy more page space with my inconclusions. -

Nonsense. What are you talking about?

Perhaps I shouldn't occupy more page space with my inconclusions.A custodian would probably be prudent (if ineffectual) - although I'd have thought that is all in the past by now.
Another clue to put some pressure on those who know, but haven't turned the pedals to tag:

Here's a convenient clue summary for those who haven't got it--who include me.
New - (pre-tag from the other day when I was tagzumped)

Scratch that, a moment's thought made me realise where it is. Sadly, I can't go there now. Someone tag it on such a lovely sunny day!

• #11098
On my way now. Ne me 'zump pas!

I forgot to get this on my way home last night & again this morning. Oops.

Tenners is still online, if you're quick you might still tagzump him.
I loved this place since reading about it as a kid. The most famous models are of Iguanodon, but with the thumb spike assumed to be a horn on its nose!
