It wasn't you one of the crying babies about NSFW posting a while ago? What a muppet.
Sigh...
Let's compare and contrast:
marcom posts pictures of full nudity and BDSM and is reported by multiple people (who I don't know to be friends or in collusion) in a short span of time who share a view that the material is unsuitable for inline display on LFGSS and and some of whom feel that it represents larger issues of sexism and misogynism.
gridds posts a single picture which features no nudity and is reported by no-one (not even marcom), yet marcom goes on a rant about it.
Hardly like events.
But even then, if I treated the whining in this thread as a report then I'd still do nothing because I don't moderate if only 1 person complains, and I ignore reports if I perceive any chips-on-shoulders or bias on behalf of the person(s) making the reports.
As the only person complaining, marcom you exhibit both a minority view, and a person with a grudge. So I would not moderate in this instance.
It's really very simple. Terribly simple. The community set the standards, and they let me know what is unacceptable by reporting stuff. That's subjective and so it can change over time and I only see this by how people react in a thread or by reporting stuff, what flies today may not tomorrow... it's your responsibility as someone who is a part of the community to be aware of what the community accepts or not.
If you cross the line, they let you know, and they may let me know... if you choose to ignore that and act like an ignorant oaf or a bull in a china shop, then you'll end up getting warned or banned. If you consciously ignore it and choose to purposefully challenge it... you will end up banned.
And you can moan all you like about it. But that's the way it is. And you can get pissed at me, but in many ways I'm just the messenger. I work very hard to examine my own interventions to try and keep them free of my own views. I could not care less if you develop a chip on your shoulder about me, I'm going to carry on listening to what I'm told by the community at large.
Fundamentally you have a choice and only you can take it. Either you make minor adjustments and fit in with the community standards and adapt when those subjective lines move, effectively choosing to stay... or you butt up against the line until you get banned, effectively choosing to leave.
It doesn't bother me which you choose, but the incessant whining is rather pathetic and tiring, hardly stuff that anyone would want to read. The situation has been spelled out so many times that you can hardly pretend to be unaware of how it works or what will happen. Your choice as to how you want to behave marcom.
Sigh...
