I suspect most of us will have experienced something similar to this.
You're riding along and either catch up with (it's best when you catch up with them to start it) or meet at the lights or cross paths with another cyclist and you either know they're going the same way as you or it comes out in conversation.
You talk for a few minutes then they, thinking they are a faster rider, on a faster bike etc say cheerio and proceed to ride away till they are maybe, 5 bike lengths infront of you then they check over their shoulder frantically as they utterly fail to drop you.
Best when it's a lycra'd up, clipped in roadie and you're on your 3speed town bike with flat pedals etc.
I like to give them a wee wave everytime they look back.
