I would put a black quill, and seatpost to keep the top line black, then a nice silver crankset to match the wheels.
-
• #253
I thought you were serious about that first crankset! I'm sure it looks much better now.
-
• #254
much more in charater now..
quill stem and brake cable next i think

• #255
Ahh evolving nicely there. Good show!

They are in Manc, give them nudge and ninja it

Nope, Just not doing it for me........ sorry...... Maybe if it was built up in an interesting manner it would have justified chopping it up. It's just a slap dash half-arsed build of a converted frame.................

+1
I'm glad it got finished at least, was worried after butchering it you'd lose heart and give up, consigning it to the scrapers, so fair play for seeing it through to the end.
But, it still looks terrible compared to how it looked in the first place, would have made a great conversion with drops, TA chainset. Cheap parts make it look a bit Foffa...
Wheels look nice though... -

didnt realise sugino chainsets were cheap parts.
sure post and seat will get changed.
bars are cheap but i like the look of them. would love a moustache bar on there.
just loving the miles im putting on it at present.each to their own i guess.. it is what it is now, slowly evolving as i pick up the parts i require..
still after all the slagging off about puppy killing i think i pulled it off..
only one guy ever asked about the other frames i have around..
may put them in the sale thread to get a bigger audience on there.
no point hourding frames to look at.
they need to be ridden.!!!!! -

As long as you're happy that's all that matters. IMO no mater how much of a good deal you got on any of the frame work it probably wasn't worth the £s as its not added any value and you won't get it back.
But then I did a similarish thing with my first build.
The one thing I would have thought would be a good idea would be to incorporate some sort of rear mudgaurd hole as you've got one for the front. Very handy things in this country.
Also I don't get wtf was going on with all that seatpost size guessing on the last page! The only way to tell a seatpost size is by measuring it with calipers. There is a difference between 27.0 and 27.2 and messing about win the wrong size post is likely to damage your frame.

i certainly havent added any value.. but i did it for the experience .. and its kept me away from the boozer a little.
its not been my first build. or even my first fixie build.
i did give the rear mudguard holes some thought and with it being track ended so to speak i guessed it would make getting the rear wheel out harder having mudguards fitted. ?? thye are certainly needed in this country as you say as i got totally soaked coming home from night shift the other morning,, but if im honest it was my front legs and feet that got more wet..
i dont mind getting caught out with a rain storm and plan to only really ride it on nicer days. i do have a 84 raleigh with guards on for wet days. and winter commutes. -

How many legs do you have?

Only just noticed you used 2 different/clashing fonts as well. Why?
Edit - just noticed the angle of the track ends, is it the pic angle or are they about 15degree out of being level??

Are you still able to get your hands on some other frames? If so, I'd be interested ;)
the decals are the least i can do. just need to get out there and enjoy it now..
did 25 miles today and i cant half feel it in my thighs tonight lol
