• Hey Peeps, hope you're all well...;o) I posted an ad a over a week ago, tho the info is so different I have posted a new ad entirely.

I have a pair of bikes for sale, I got them ages ago as a pair from a friend of my Mother, I hadn't seen them for ages so will now rewrite the ad. I thought they were younger and were bought separately, tho after checking the hubs, and seeing them being the same date, I went about specifically asking her, and she said they were bought as a pair in 1957. His and Hers. Maybe they would be good for a Couple for the Tweed Run? Or maybe pub bikes for similar? I have kept them together for as long as possible since I got them, tho I need to move them from where they have currently been kept.

1957 Raleigh Superbe, In reasonably good condition for a 55 yr old bike (same as it was new) and tho isn't pristine is very usable with a little bit of work. It's needing some love tho it's stock as a rock, you get the general idea. With some love it would be bombproof and is totally original.
Brooks Saddle, rod brakes, mudguards, full chain casing, big chrome lamp, etc... 3 speed Sturmey (with original thumb changer), all present and correct. having seen it again its had some spokes broken in the front wheel which makes the wheel untrue, the rim I'm sure is fine. It needs a few hours of elbow grease spending to getting it sorted, tho doesn't need much money if any, other than a few spokes... these are getting quite rare now that are unmessed with.

Next is the Ladies, a 1957 Triumph Palm Beach, this also is totally original and had a wonderful push button bell. It's in metallic Prussian blue with ivory detailing and mudguards. This is rather tatty tho is totally original again. It only needs a gear linkage (£3) to get it going properly, tho it is rideable now. It's very pretty with a lycett saddle.

If they sell separate then I'd like £60 for the triumph and £110 for the raleigh, tho if you take them as a pair to keep together they are £140...I'd really like to see them kept together now I know they were bought together. That's what they are worth as parts. I really need them moving...so as terry tibbs says ...talk to me....;D

Images for both are on photobucket here tho after farting about for ages don't know if they are here yet. http://s1278.beta.photobucket.com/user/wingedangel3/media/P1030542_zps5596f513.jpg.html on the bucket look for profiles under wingedangel3...

Please ring me about anything you need to know about either bike and I'm open to sensible offers on them separately tho I don't really want to go lower for both.

    Best wishes and Safe Riding
