The cranks do not exactly inspire confidence, but the frame I like. It looks honest with the steep angles. Not for street use, I am sure.

Would be good to get the opinion of someone who has ridden one.
Seems good value at the moment as ProBikeKit have it for >£400http://www.probikekit.com/uk/bikes-frames/bikes/road-bikes/genesis-madison-track-bike.html

Ive ridden one. It rode like an old Giant Omnium i had. Pretty damn stiff.
Not pleasing at all to ride around my area (Birmingham) but could see it as a good option for folks looking to take it indoors for some track time.If its got to be a Genesis, go with the Flyer.

Bump - As im sans fixed at the moment i'm tempted to get one of these as i can get one cheap through work, and the short top tube suits me - to use for general hacking around and potential herne hill use. Would probably swap the fork for crabon.
Anyone had any experience with one since this thread was last responded to?

I didn't get on with mine. It was exclusively for track use, I used it weekly for a couple of months and knew it wasn't for me. It was a 54 FWIW
The wheelbase is very short and the angles seemed steep even for a dedicated track bike. I found the toe overlap extreme too. Im not sure that going a size up would have made any difference to these issues.
The wheelset was heavy and supplied with utilitarian tyres given its intended for track use. The bb was a fairly rudimentary affair, square taper cranks, and a rather ugly rear dropout assembly left me feeling rather short-changed, its not exactly cheap and cheery. Unbranded finishing kit too.
Dolan Pre Cursa or Genesis Madison.
No contest.

Cheers merak - I did have concerns about the toe overlap, esp as I'd be getting a 52 - prob best to steer clear!
Genesis Madison
Anyone own one? Wondering if it is a good buy compared to, for example, Dolan Pre Cursa.
