Personally, I don't have a problem with the pros putting their name to a bike brand. If it gets more people into cycling, while making them a few extra quid then fair play. Really wish some of them would have a bit more pride in their product though. Don't have any experiance of the new Hoy bikes but I can safely say the Boardman are total shit! Quality of the frames is well substandard. They might look good at first glance but look closer and you can soon see where the shortcuts have been taken. The CX Comp is the worst bike I've come across. Shimano Sora levers + BB5s + poor quality on the finish of the disc mounts makes for genuinely shocking brakes. I would fucking love to see Chris Boardman take a CX Comp through its paces and hear what he has to say about it. Absolute disgrace imo
