The Tweed Run, the metropolitan bicycle ride that brought sartorial elegance back to the bicycle celebrates fifth birthday by bringing the ride to five cities around the world.
The Tweed Run, London will be held on 13 April 2013 with a lottery style registration.** Registration will open on 14 February with the draw to be held on 16 March.**
A lottery draw for London tickets will be held and participants will be able to enter as many times as they like at the cost of £1.00 per entry. All money raised through the lottery will be given to our chosen charity, CTC, the National Cyclists Charity which has been protecting and promoting the rights of cyclists since 1878.
Official birthday celebrations begin in London and then roll around the world, with rides in St.Petersburg*, Tokyo, New York and Paris* over the year.

Thanks to you, we raised over £2000 (tbc) for our charity, the CTC.
Tweed Run is thrilled to have CTC as the charity partner for this year’s Tweed Run event. All money raised from the lottery will go towards supporting their work.
*Did you know that “back in the day”, CTC members had a reputation of riding in the very best attire – they even had a CTC tweed uniform and CTC official tailors! *

Just went on practice run of the route with a few other marshals. Really nice bunch of guys. Looking forward to the run.

Mrs L's new/old tweed suit arrived yesterday. Much altering going on, hems and darts and pleats galore.
I have to plan my facial furniture now. Massive beard trimmed to something splendid!

Yay ... The Demon will get her first formal outing. And young Master Benjamin should meet us for high tea (he now has a tweed rompersuit for the occasion).
