Such cynicism from such a young man, well really!.......Good luck mate.....try Retrobike.....and ask the usual suspects eg Hilary Stone etc.

try ebay (I guess you probably have), but both me and the parents got 4 of our Roberts for very reasonable prices on there.

Can you tell me more (I really shouldn't but I'm tempted)

@Desouz - yeah, been keeping an eye on ebay, of course.
There was quite a nice white Roberts that went last week - but sliiiightly too big.
There's a nice pea green JW on there, too... again too big.Damn my short legs, etc.
@snowy - Can I wait and see if the 54 JW road frame appears from doubledee? If it does, I'd love to get the track frame to match!

I've a 52 road that I might have to downsize. It's the one on my profile but forgive the 7 year old hipster tyres.

I have a Joe Waff Columbus Airplane, was thinking of building it as my tt bike for this season, would consider parting with it though.

OOh, I didn't know he made airplanes!
What size is it?
... oh, and is it a JW, or a Roberts? -
• #18
Ah no, it's a sparkle blue with gold lined lugs. I'll get it out of the shed this weekend and see what it's like and the return your pm.

Hah, beat me too it ;)
Every now and again I like to create a thread that demonstrates my hopelessly naive optimism towards the possibilities of this forum, and that gets totally ignored forever... This is one of those threads.
My road bike frame has sadly died on me, and I am looking to replace it. Aside from more sensible options like seeing what is actually available, or ordering a shiny new frame from one of the many trusted online providers out there, I also wanted to try my luck at living the ultimate aspirational bike owners dream: getting matching bicycles.
This means I'm looking for a
53 / 54cm (C-T-C) frame made either by Joe Waugh or Chas Roberts.
I genuinely don't expect anyone to have anything so specific, but weirder things have been asked for and found on here, so you never know.
....GO!
