Don't you need a road captain who is at the sharp end until at least the last hour of the day? Also, will Eisel even be in Sky's team? Maybe as Froome's bodyguard, but Knees played that role for Wiggins on the flat last year.

I suppose the idea of a captain is archaic now anyway.

They were due to air Qatar. Seeing it disappeared off the schedule I tweeted them..

Their response was

Contractual issues beyond our control means we cannot now show this race. Our 2013 coverage will begin with Tour of Oman

I guess that means another broadcaster got it but I've not seen anyone else showing it. Bit of a fail for Qatar.

He's in the classics group, so I don't imagine he'll go to the TdF. Guesswork of course, but I'd guess their TdF team will have a similar core to last year: Wigwam, Froomedog, Little Richard Porte, Suits You Siutsou, Christian 'The Bees' Knees and Eddie the Eagle Boasson Hagen

I would suggest Kiriyenka was bought as a direct replacement for Rogers, so he may be there. Geraint has talked about riding the TdF, and I also wonder if Cotaldo may be deployed as a climbing domestique.

That said given they are going for overall in the Giro as well they may mix and match, with options in Uran and Henao.
