Generally speaking you should avoid wearing team kit unless you're actually a member of the team. I haven't really got issues with fans standing at the roadside in team jerseys to show their support during the race; heck, you might even get away with wearing it to and from races, but other than that it's a no.
*In any event it's better looking like a banker than a jackass.
