• My gf and I were touring around the South of France last year in the summer. I got one of these for her bike as it had no mounts but instead of using the weird bottom adjuster thing I just mounted the rack directly into the quick release. Worked a charm as they supply you with an extra long skewer and spacers so the rack wont hit the gears.

    Granted it was bodged but it was strong and only slipped once or twice. We were out for two weeks and were camping so we had a fair amount of stuff.

    She now commutes 15 miles each way using the same skewer mounted rack holding loads of shit and it's still fine.

    There's an option of seatstays mounted clips, rear brake bridge mounted, with a seatpost clamp etc.
